Jacana Media Mourns the Death of Kader Asmal

It is with great sadness that we at Jacana Media learnt of the death of Professor Kader Asmal and we send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Our work with Professor Asmal over the last few years on his memoir had deepened our respect and affection for this great South African and we hope that the book will serve as a fitting tribute to a life well lived. Professor Asmal’s memoir will be released in August and launched at the Open Book Festival in Cape Town in September.
