Celebrate Two Decades of Comedy with Madam & Eve: Twenty

Madam The Ultimate Collector’s Item: Madam & Eve celebrates its twentieth anniversary with Madam & Eve: Twenty!

Twenty years later, the Madam & Eve series is still South Africa’s best reminder that we need to laugh at ourselves as a society.

The incredibly hilarious crew of Madam, Eve, Thandi and Mother Anderson are like old friends to most South Africans. Their dysfunctional, chaotic and totally recognisable South African household is an unfailingly satirical reflection of everyday life in this country.

The current annual collection, Madam & Eve: Twenty includes highlights and classic cartoons from their first twenty years and a special colour section all jacketed by a beautifully embossed silver cover.

South Africa sings its praises…

‘Oh Shucks. I’m going to keep this Sweet and Short. Madam & Eve make me laugh lekker when I’m feeling Gatvol. Dankie, Stephen en Rico!’ – Leon Schuster

“I love Madam & Eve… Congratulations on your own twenty years of loyal service, Stephen and Rico. May you have twenty more.” – Gareth Cliff

“I don’t think there is anyone who hasn’t crumpled into the foetal position with laughter and recognition at LEAST once a week!” – Jenny Crwys-Williams, 702

“Madam & Eve is better than ever – and no morning is complete without a look.” – John Robbie, 702

“A superb mix of sitcom, satire and South African stuff – our top comic strip by far.” – Zapiro

“I grew up on Madam & Eve, it was in these panels where I discovered that SA was actually a really funny place.” – Kagiso Lediga, Stand-up comedian
